শুধু গর্ভাশয় (Ovary) পরিবর্তিত হয়ে যে ফল হয় তা প্রকৃত ফল। আর গর্ভাশয়সহ ফুলের অন্যান্য কিছু অংশ পরিবর্তিত হয়ে যে ফল হয় তা অপ্রকৃত (False) ফল। আপেলের Fleshy অংশটা Ovary থেকে আসে না। আসে Hypanthium থেকে [কোনো কোনো অপ্রকৃত ফলেরটা Thalmus/Receptacle (পুষ্পাক্ষ) থেকে।]

Perigynous Flower:
In perigynous flowers, a hypanthium (a floral tube formed from the fusion of the stamens, petals, and sepals) is attached to the receptacle below the gynoecium and surrounds the ovary.The ovary is superior.

Epigynous Flower:
In epigynous flowers, the hypanthium is fused to the gynoecium, and the free parts of the sepals, petals, and stamens appear to be attached to the top of the gynoecium, as in the apple.The ovary is inferior.

Hypogynous Flower:-
In hypogynous flowers, the perianth and stamens are attached to the receptacle below the gynoecium; the ovary is superior.

সোজা কথায়-
১) Hypogynous হলে বৃতি (Calyx/Sepal), পাপড়ি (Petal), পুঃস্তবক (Stamen) স্ত্রীস্তবকের নিচে পুষ্পাক্ষের (Receptacle) সাথে যুক্ত থাকে। Ovary (গর্ভাশয়) বড়ো থাকে। Superior Ovary.
২) Perigynous হলে Hypanthium স্ত্রী স্তবকের নিচে পুষ্পাক্ষের (Receptacle) সাথে যুক্ত থাকে। Ovary বড়ো থাকে। Petal, Sepal, Stamen; Hypanthium এর সাথে যুক্ত থাকে। Superior Ovary.
৩) Epigynous হলে Hypanthium স্ত্রীস্তবক(Gynoecium) এর নিচে যুক্ত থাকে। Petal, Sepal, Stamen Ovary এর ওপরে যুক্ত থাকে। Ovary Receptacle এর ভেতরে ঢুকে যায়। Ovary ছোটো হয়। Inferior Ovary.
অনেকগুলো ছবি দিয়েছি। এগুলো দেখলে আর ফুলের অংশগুলো চিনলে এবং Relate করতে পারলে সহজেই বোঝা যাবে। নাহলে বোঝা যাবে না।
